Son Of Saul

Movie Details

Saul is a Hungarian prisoner working at one of the Auschwitz Crematoriums. He gives himself an impossible mission of burying the body of a boy he takes for his son. To carry out this deed he needs to find a rabbi to give the boy a proper burial, in order to save the remains of a son he never took care of when his son was still alive.

Saul seorang Yahudi yang bekerja di Auschwitz Crematoriums dan dipaksa untuk membakar mayat warganya. Dia kemudian memberikan dirinya misi mustahil untuk menanam mayat budak lelaki yang dianggapnya seperti anaknya. Untuk meneruskan pengebumian itu, dia perlu mencari seorang rabbi untuk memberi pengebumian yang sempurna.

The Good, the Bad and the Godly Task:

• The film is a masterpiece as it presents the holocaust from a very precise point of view.

• The film has a unique approach in showing the Nazi's concentration camp for what it is, and it is presented realistically.

• Though the camera work and cinematography can be quite annoying sometimes, it was on purpose as it was needed to emphasise the surroundings of the main character.

• The film was shot in 28 days.
