30-year-old Liza is a naïve, lonely nurse who looks after Marta, the widow of the former Japanese ambassador. She has been taking care of Marta for the past 12 years and her only friend is Tomy Tani, the ghost of a Japanese pop singer from the 1950s. To celebrate her 30th birthday, she goes out to a Mekk Burger restaurant, hoping to find romance there, not knowing that Tomy has killed Marta while she is out. Liza ends up inheriting Marta`s apartment and soon she gets a new roommate, Sergeant Zoltan, who is originally assigned to investigate her after Marta`s relatives reported her for murdering Marta. The sergeant falls in love with her and Liza gains more confidence but when the men she dates end up in fatal accidents, she becomes convinced that she has become a fox-fairy. It is said that men who fall for the demon from Japanese mythology will die soon afterwards.

Liza adalah seorang jururawat berusia 30 tahun yang naif dan kesunyian. Dia telah menjaga Marta, seorang janda kepada bekas duta Jepun, selama 12 tahun dan satu-satunya kawan Liza adalah Tomy Tani, roh penyanyi pop Jepun 1950-an. Untuk meraikan hari jadinya yang ke-30, Liza pergi ke Mekk Burger dengan harapan bertemu cinta sejati, tanpa mengetahui Tomy telah membunuh Marta. Liza kemudian mewarisi apartmen Marta. Sarjan Zoltan pada mulanya perlu menyiasat Liza selepas dia dituduh membunuh Marta tetapi Zoltan kemudian jatuh hati pada Liza. Liza rasa lebih berkeyakinan tetapi apabila lelaki yang jatuh hati padanya semuanya terlibat dalam kemalangan maut, Liza mula menganggap dirinya sebagai 'fox-fairy' dari mitos Jepun. Sesiapa yang jatuh hati padanya akan mati.
