"The Good, the Bad and the Deep metaphors:"

• "Paper Towns" makes for a great and sometimes fun coming-of-age story, however, the emotional impact is not as greatly felt as John Green's previous adaptation, "The Fault in our Stars".

• The casting of the characters are top notch. Nat Wolff plays his dorky character Quentin well and quite likable too, while Cara Delevingne nails the mysterious trouble-maker-hot-girl-next door Margo to perfection.

• Like the book, "Paper Towns" tries to balance many things; a coming-of-age story, a mysterious road-trip and a high-school prom scene. The many themes seem to almost drag the essence of the plot away many-a-times, but it quickly manages to pick up the pieces to formulate smooth transitions from one theme to another.

Trivia:
The movie's title, "Paper Towns" is a cartography term where map-makers insert fake places into their maps to avoid it getting copied/ or identifying it when it is copied. The term is used as a metaphor in the movie to describe how everything may not be as perfect as it seems and some things in life are faked to create a phony illusion of perfection.
