Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale (AFFM)

Following the events of "Sword Art Online II", Kirito, Asuna and their friends start playing a new game called OS (Ordinal Scale), which is different from the games they`ve played before. In this game, each player will be promoted according to their performance with the lowest ranking player having the highest risk to go against players with higher ranks. However, Kirito and his colleagues found something amiss when they stumbled upon a giant of Aincrad, the world of the same game where they had been trapped for two years.

Watch this if you liked: “Sword Art Online” series

The Good, the Bad and the Ordinal Scale:

• Featuring a brand new dimension of game known as the "Ordinal Scale" (OS), the movie is pretty much like a mix of all the other games from the anime series like Sword Art Online (SAO), ALfeheim Online (ALO) and Gun Gale Online (GGO).

• However, the film seems to be more similar to the theme from the first season but rather than character-centric, the film is more action centric as the plot is quite simple and straightforward with less character development.

• Nevertheless, the action scenes are gorgeous and beautifully choreographed even much more so than the anime series, which was already receiving a lot of praises when it first shown.

• The art and animation too have looked much better than the series, suitable for movie quality.

Trivia:

• The storyline of the movie takes place after "Sword Art Online II" anime series.
