The movie is set in the Indo-China war of 1962. Laxman Singh Bisht is a do-gooder who is very close to his brother, Bharat. Laxman is a little slow and is therefore called a Tubelight by others. The movie is about a man`s unwavering faith in himself and his love for his family.

The Good, the Bad and the Inseparable Family:

• With poor acting and direction, the movie is considered as one of Salman Khan's weakest movies in recent times.

• The film is a complete copy of the American war-drama "Little Boy", except that it is a lot worse.

• As one of the top actors in India, Salman Khan's character in the film falls flat as his performance is forceful and mechanical.

• The only saving grace is the beautiful visuals and decent acting by all the others involved.

Trivia:

• Om Puri's look in the film was inspired by Colonel Sanders of KFC.
