Following a failed robbery, Mirja has to serve her first prison sentence. After her release, she returns home to find a very sick mother and she will have to find a job to support her. She has no choice but to turn her back on her best friends, a group of criminals that have always been like family to her, with whom she had originally planned to rob a jewellery store with so they can get enough money to get out of their boring town. Her friends think she is a sell-out after she lands a job as a hotel cleaner. Not wanting to lose her friends, she returns to their shady world and starts living a double life.

Selepas dibebaskan dari penjara, Mirja perlu memilih jalan hidupnya. Rakan-rakan baiknya yang juga penjenayah masih berpegang pada rancangan lama mereka untuk keluar dari bandar kecil itu. Untuk mendapatkan wang secukupnya, mereka merancang untuk merompak sebuah kedai barang kemas. Namun, rancangan itu terbantut apabila Mirja memikirkan keadaan ibunya yang sakit bersama adik perempuannya. Dia kemudiannya bekerja di sebuah hotel dan meninggalkan masa lampaunya, sekaligus menimbulkan kemarahan rakan-rakannya. Perasaan rindu terhadap rakan-rakannya membuatkan Mirja kembali ke jalan yang salah dan dia cuba menyeimbangkan dua kehidupan berbeza.
