A chance meeting with an Israeli commander, whom Salam, a young Palestinian man in Jerusalem, sees every day at the check point he passes through, proves to be a good thing for the inexperienced young man`s writing career. Getting his ideas for a popular soap opera from the soldier, he lands a job on the show and finds his career growing. However, trouble hits him when he gets stuck in the middle of the soldier and the show`s financial backers` disagreement about the show`s ending.

Peluang bertemu seorang komando Israel di pusat pemeriksaan yang dilaluinya setiap hari terbukti menjadi sesuatu yang berguna buat Salam, seorang lelaki Palestin di Jerusalem, untuk karier penulisannya yang tidak berpengalaman. Setelah menerima idea bernas daripada tentera itu, dia berjaya mendapat kerja sebagai penulis untuk rancangan drama terkenal dan kariernya juga semakin berkembang. Walau bagaimanapun, masalah timbul apabila dia terperangkap di antara tentera itu dan pihak kewangan yang tidak bersetuju dengan penamat drama tersebut.
