The movie already starts well with the way the opening credits appear on screen. It had an interesting form, which provides a good introduction and is indeed something fresh for a local movie.

The story begins when Anizah (Anita Baharom), who decided to further her studies in the UK, is kidnapped by her psychotic ex-boyfriend Fazley (Mohd Hafiz). Anizah leaves a secret message to her friends through a trail of notes which Fazley forced her to write. Responding to the note, her friends Opie (Elyana), Tajol (Wan Elyas), Adif (Pierre Andre), Madihah (Ann Ngasri) and Suzanna (Almy Nadia) decide to prevent Anizah from getting married. The journey begins when they travel up north, encountering many challenges and funny incidences on the way, which is the gist of the whole plot.

The most interesting thing about the presentation and approach made by director Yeop "Hitler" Zami is that he provides a comedic structure that's spontaneous. The comedy in the movie was smart and Yeop's touch in this film was highly enjoyable. Perhaps his wide experience in the film industry has made him well equipped for such a presentation.

Throughout the journey, the film is loaded with several guest appearances, namely well-known veteran comedian Zami Ismail (who is Yeop's own father), the Seekers team (from "Seekers" TV series), Ridzuan Hashim, popular local actress Dynaz, comedian Ahmad Busu and famed local director Mamat Khalid who played a petrol station supervisor. All of them made good cameo appearances to the movie, and makes you laugh just by their facial expressions and dialogue.

Supporting casts Opie Zami (Yeop's brother), Ilya and Ropie Cecupak, as well as Kanjana Dewi played their characters well, which added some 'spice' to the plot.

A salute to the director for making a great effort to make sure his debut movie marks his good start in film-making. The viewers are served with something entertaining with a good message about friendship. The bond of friendship is what created the story and it gave colour to the plot. The performance from the cast also deserves to be praised, as they became the highlight of the movie. Their witty, spontaneous and amusing performances gets a 'thumbs up' for effort.

Overall, "Dunia Baru The Movie" can be described as a good comedy that offers entertainment, joy and moral at the same time. The strength of the movie, which is the cast and witty dialogue, is satisfactory and entertaining. It is absolutely a good watch for those seeking an escape from stress.
