Senario's popularity has been on a roller coaster ride ever since they started out in the entertainment industry and currently out of the usual five members, Azlee, Wahis and Mazlan Pet-Pet are the most active in the movie scene. The trio's "Senario The Movie: Episode 1" in 2008 successfully garnered approximately RM2.5 million at Malaysia box office. This time around, director Ahmad Idham adds a feminine touch in the sequel after being criticised for not having any women in the first movie.

Holding the same characters as before, Azlee, Wahid and Mazlan are in search for their lady love. Kicking off with the trio taking a break at Pangkor Island, they encounter three siblings - Qasidah (Maria Farida), Zuraidah (Marsha Milan Londoh) and Hamidah (Nik Sayyidah Fatiha). Unfortunately, their introduction wasn't a smooth one, resulting in constant arguments. After the boys helped saved the resort in which they stayed from being sold, it appears that the resort owner Encik Mansor (Dato' Jamali Shadat) is the three ladies' father. Later on, the girls begin to see the boys in a different perspective and the rest as they say.. is history. However, things go awry when Remy (Riezman Khuzaimi) kidnaps Qasidah as revenge after failing to cheat Encik Mansor.

Senario's acting performance is no doubt well done. Their spontaneous acting abilities and comedic timing is what makes them so successful from the beginning. Moreover, their jokes never get old. For this film, Maria Farida plays a modern girl, while Marsha is a tomboy with a Sabahan accent and Nik Sayiddah Fatiha (aka Mek) speaks with a Kelantanese mix Thailanese accent. Praise should be given to Mek as her performance outshone Maria and Marsha as she was very spontaneous, original and absolutely hilarious. On the other hand, Maria simply looked too stiff and unnatural seeing as this is her first movie after "Bisikan Cinta" 14 years ago. Although still active in drama series and is considered a veteran due to her many years of experience, it's unfortunate that she fails to get a good grasp of her character.

Ahmad Idham tries to capture the scenic beauty of Pangkor Island and thankfully, it was well executed with good cinematography. The storyline is simple, giving more focus onto the characters and of Senario's hilarious jokes. There may be some who feels that the humouristic element is quite lame, but regardless of that, you will somehow or rather crack a smile or two over it. So for those who are always stressed out, it's possible that "Senario The Movie Episode 2: Beach Boys" would be a good film for you.
