Watch this if you liked: “Night At The Museum”, “Dr Dolittle”

"Zoo" is a fantasy comedy that tells of a young man by the name of Ad (Mazlan Pet Pet), who has a deep interest towards animal. Ad's funny or rather silly antics usually resulted in him losing his job. Unintentionally, he attends a job interview by Encik Din (Bob Lokman). To his surprise, Ad was offered the post as the zoo's security guard! From that instance, unexpected incidents start to beset Ad as he watches over the animals in the zoo.

Nothing much comes out from "Zoo" from the moment it starts. Acting wise, Mazlan Pet Pet merely portrays the same characters from his previous "Senario" films, and "Zoo" is no exception. The other cast members were also dull as well, though Lisa Surihani showed promise at the start. Unfortunately, her character faltered at the end of the movie.

Director Azhari Zain, who is well known for horror films, boldly took on the challeng to direct "Zoo", a comedy-based film instead. What stands out for "Zoo" would be Mazlan's ability to communicate with the zoo animals, just like Dr. Dolittle! It's no secret that Mazlan has the gift to imitate animal sounds, and this gives more credibility to his character. Moviegoers will also get the chance to marvel at the zoo's breathtaking scenery at Malaysia's Zoo Negara, which have been overlooked after all this while.

For those who would like to unwind and relax with their families, "Zoo" is definitely the movie to watch after a hectic week. Besides good for family bonding, the movie is bound to tickle your funny bone!
