"Sekali Lagi" is Metrowealth Pictures' latest product which is produced by the acclaimed David Teo. The movie manages to showcase the directorial effort of Hashim Rejab, who before this was known through his directing of MIG produced dramas. The director also currently ranks on the 6th spot of MIG's top 10 young directors.

From the first 15 minutes of the movie, the first impression while watching Hashim Rejab's directorial debut seems like an interesting movie, as audiences would find that Shaheizy Sam's acting differs vastly from his previous roles. Even Lisa Surihani and little Mia Sara who plays Lisa's daughter in the movie, manages to portray great chemistry on screen as previously seen in MIG's "Adamaya" drama.

MIG's film this time around is apparently quite different from its previously produced and directed films that were helmed by different people eventhough the feel of an MIG produced film still lingers on slightly.

The casting choices are commendable as Shila who is played by Lisa Surihani showcases the maturity the actress had developed over the years, and audiences will be able to feel how Lisa manages to adapt her feelings and chemistry when she paired with Bront Palarae and Shaheizy Sam on screen. The connection which is seen through Shaheizy Sam and Mia Sara's characters are also worth a mention as they will remind audiences of Sam and Lucy, which was played by Sean Penn and Dakota Fanning respectively through the 2001 film "I Am Sam".

Overall, the storyline of "Sekali Lagi" is quite simple yet entertaining. It doesn't cross the threshold of being boring or even complex eventhough there are a few scenes which might be slightly complicated, however with the twists in the movie, viewers will not find themselves watching a predictable movie.

With the formula of 1.5 million fans of Lisa Surihani, 800 thousand fans of Shaheizy Sam and Mia Sara on Facebook, David Teo's bet this time around may just prove worthy to attract fans to the movie.
