"Lagenda Budak Hostel" is a light comedy film that aims to entertain and at the same time bring back nostalgic memories of the past, especially for those who have lived in dormitories.

The film tells the story of Haikal Putra (Along Cham), Kodan and Ahmad Danial (Along Eyzendy) who are seniors at a boarding school. They are students who are respected and feared by other students in the hostel as they like to bully others.

The story is well-paced and funny, as well as suitable for the whole family. Its humour is delivered fresh and not too far-fetched. However, sometimes the dialogue is just too long and there are times when the humour doesn't quite work out.

Among the scenes that caught the reviewer's attention is the scene where the seductive and childish Seroja (Nora Danish) daydreams about being courted by Put and Kodan, in which the song "Seroja" was used. Pekin Ibrahim, who plays an out-of-it student who stutters with a serious face, is also very amusing.

In addition to Nora Danish, Along Cham and Along Eyzendy, this film also features Epy Raja Lawak, Rahim R2, Pekin Ibrahim, Eddy Rauf, Mikael Andre and a new face from Singapore, actress Siti Aziz.

The chemistry between Along Cham and Along Eyzendy, as Put and Kodan, is also worthy of applause. Along Cham is often seen paired up with Angah Raja Lawak fame, so seeing him with Along Eyzendy is a welcome change.

"Lagenda Budak Hostel" is appropriate for those who want to relive their memories of living in a dormitory without having to actually go through all the tiresome process. The film is easy to understand, fresh and funny and features great actors. For comedy film fans who want to watch a film that is guaranteed to make you laugh from start to end, this film is it.
