Wira Wah is a Chinese elementary school teacher who has been offered to teach a school in the rural area. Not long after his arrival, he receives news that the school will be shut down as it does not have enough student enrolment to sustain it. Wira Wah visits every house in the village, begging the parents, even the non-Chinese ones, to send their children to the school. Unbeknown to him, the school`s headmaster has made a deal with the local property developer to sell the school land for a cheap price.

Wira Wah adalah seorang guru sekolah rendah yang telah ditawarkan untuk bekerja di sebuah sekolah di pedalaman. Bagaimanapun, tidak lama kemudian sekolah itu terpaksa ditutup berikutan kekurangan murid. Wira Wah telah pergi ke setiap keluarga di kampung tersebut demi memujuk ibu bapa untuk menghantar anak mereka ke sekolah. Di sebalik usaha Wira Wah untuk menyelamatkan sekolah, guru besar sekolah itu telah bersubahat dengan pemaju hartanah tempatan untuk menjual tanah sekolah tersebut.

The Good, the Bad and the Hero:

• The dialogues are funny but only if you can understand most, if not all, of the languages spoken in Malaysia.

• The inclusion of fresh and current elements in the movie makes it more interesting for the youth, who are often in the loop when it comes to social trends.

• It is an overall nice tribute to teachers in Malaysia, especially as portrayed by the main character who would go to any length to ensure the future of his students' education.

Trivia:

• Main actor Auguste Kwan came up with the idea for the movie when he starred in a sitcom called "Mr. Siao's Mandarin Class".
