The Good, the Bad and the "Inherited Spirit":

Hashim Rejab returns with his latest horror flick which tells the tale of a ritual practised by the traditional folk.

The film is not as cliched as one would have thought as it focuses on the subject of inherited spirits known as 'saka', which is handed down over generations.

Although the storyline is quite simple, the director made a brave decision by casting three new actors; Lydia Izzati, Hanif Safuan and Hafizz Bahari.

However, the daring decision made by the director doesn't seem to work out too well here, as the performances given by the three main cast doesn't leave a deep impression upon the audience.

Nevertheless, the effort and high commitment exerted for the film should be complimented, and hopefully in the future the actors would be able to improve the quality of their performances.

As a whole, the film is great to watch as a family as it provides important lessons and values embedded deep within the Malay culture.
