Tired of his job as a temporary teacher, Prabha decides to resign without his father`s knowledge and leaves the estate with his wife, Sumathi. One day, the estate people learn that the developer`s company has bought over the estate land for development purposes. Representing the estate people, Prabha`s father, Maniam, searches for a lawyer to defend their rights. However, the fight is halted when Maniam passes away. Not willing to see the estate disappear, Prabha returns to continue his father`s fight.

Penat dengan kerja sebagai guru sementara, Prabha telah ambil keputusan untuk berhenti tanpa pengetahuan bapanya dan meninggalkan estet dengan isterinya, Sumathi. Satu hari orang estet mengetahui syarikat pihak pemaju telah membeli tanah estet untuk tujuan pembangunan. Mewakili orang estet, bapa Prabha, Maniam, mencari peguam untuk mempertahankan hak mereka. Bagaimanapun, perjuangan itu terhenti apabila Maniam meninggal dunia. Tidak mahu melihat estet itu hilang, Prabha pulang untuk meneruskan perjuangan bapanya.
