Teoh Yun Ling, a young law graduate who is embittered by the atrocities of World War II in Malaya, seeks solace in the tea plantations of Cameron Highlands. There, she meets the mysterious Nakamura Aritomo, owner of Yugiri, the only Japanese garden in Malaya. As he teaches her the art of Japanese gardening and helps her build a garden in memory of the younger sister she lost in the Japanese war camp, love blossoms between them, leading to a forbidden love affair.

Teoh Yun Ling, seorang graduan undang-undang muda yang resah dengan kekejaman Perang Dunia Kedua di Malaya, cuba mencari ketenangan di ladang teh di Cameron Highlands. Di sana, dia bertemu seorang lelaki misteri bernama Nakamura Aritomo, pemilik Yugiri, iaitu satu-satunya taman Jepun di Malaya. Dalam pada dia mempelajari tanaman Jepun daripada Aritomo dan membina sebuah taman untuk memperingati adiknya yang mati di kem peperangan Jepun, cinta mula berputik, menyebabkan mereka terjebak dalam satu hubungan yang terlarang.
