3 June – Fans of local movie flicks will be able to meet and greet the stars of upcoming movie, "Karipap Karipap Cinta" at the movie event of the year; Movie Carnival 2011, this 4, 11 and 18 of June. Those in attendance of the Movie Carnival 2011 that will take place at IPC Shopping Centre (formerly known as Ikano Power Centre) on the said dates, will be able to meet and greet the stars as they interact with fans on the upcoming movie that is based on the popular novel of the same name. Among the stars from the movie that are expected to make an appearance on those three dates are; Gambit Saifullah, Melia Aimelia, Eman Manan, Sani Sudin, Rosnah Johari and more. Adapted from Nazri M. Annuar's bestseller, "Karipap Karipap Cinta" is directed by Othman Hafsham and the plot follows a young man, Ali, who is polite in character, but lacks the motivation to be successful in life. As he attempts to woo Sarah, a girl whom he has a crush on, Ali lies his way into her heart and her family's with hilarious consequences. Distributed by Cinematic Sdn Bhd, "Karipap Karipap Cinta" is expected to be released onto the big screen this 31 August 2011.
