Movie fanatics had a fun time participating at our previous Movie Carnivals' festivities.

31 May – Now in its sixth year, eager movie buffs can finally get together for Malaysia's biggest movie event of the year; Movie Carnival 2011 that will begin its festivities tomorrow (1 June) until 19 June at the IPC Shopping Centre!

Organised by Cinema Online in partnership with MyPartners and IPC Shopping Centre, the event that celebrates everything and anything movies will stretch out for 19 days and will feature a slew of fun and activities for everyone to enjoy.

The one of a kind event is expected to meet with a huge crowd of movie fanatics as it offers up unique activities ranging from blockbuster movie screenings, casting sessions, cosplay competitions, movie launches, popular character appearances, meet the star sessions, a movie bazaar, as well as many other fun filled activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Some of the celebrities who made an appearance to meet the fans at the previous Movie Carnivals.

The highlights of the event includes; Vitagen Costume Studio, where participants can clad themselves with costumes of their favourite movie characters, Hot Magazine Cosplay Competition; that will win those in best costumes awesome prizes, and also Kung Fu Panda, Alvin & and the Chipmunks and Smurfs Colouring Contests for children who will stand a chance to win great prizes.

Other than that, the event will also include two movie marathons; a 24-hour Movie Marathon that will showcase a variety of recent movies and also a Star Trek Movie Marathon that will provide Star Trek fans a unique opportunity to watch all of the Star Trek movies.

Fans will also have the chance to get up-close with the cast of the upcoming films "The Hunter", "Karipap Karipap Cinta", "KL Gangster" and "Tolong! Awek Aku Pontianak".

Expect a variety of movie character appearances from popular movies including the Smurfs, Alvin & The Chipmunks, and Po, from Kung Fu Panda, who will also have his very own live-size Pagoda set at the event to explore and take photos with.

The Zerotohundred Fast & Furious Car Convoy will see fast and sleek cars lining up IPC Shopping Centre to give speed fanatics the chance to pose for photos and also to drive the mean machines around.
