30 Apr – Irish actor Chris O'Dowd, who broke through with "Bridesmaids", will star in "The Coward" opposite "Girls" star Adam Driver. "The Coward" will be an adaptation of the Nick Jones play and it will be directed by Max Winkler of popular television show "New Girl".
The story is set in 18th century England and focuses on the cowardly son of a nobleman, played by Adam Driver. He decides to hire a common criminal, played by O' Dowd, to fight a contest. Things go downhill after the criminal tries to kill the man and take his place in high society. O'Dowd, besides starring in his breakthrough role in comedy "Bridemaids", had also appeared in "Gulliver's Travels" with Jack Black, "Dinner For Shmucks", television series "Girls" and "The IT Crowd". The actor also will appear in "Thor: The Dark World", now in postproduction, and is gearing up to shoot the indie "St. Vincent de Van Nuys" with Bill Murray.
