Emilia Clarke in Franco's film

Emilia Clarke from "Game of Thrones" will star in James Franco's upcoming directorial feature.

2 May – Popular HBO series "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke will be cast as one of the leads in "The Garden of Last Days", James Franco's latest directorial effort.

"The Garden of Last Days" is still in pre-production and no date has been settled for production yet as Franco still has many other projects that he is handling as a new director including, "Bukowski" which is aiming for a 2014 release and "Black Dog, Red Dog" which will be out late this year.

Actor James Franco is working on directing his latest movie, "Bukowski" before working on "The Garden of Last Days".

Gerard Butler, Alan Siegel, Danielle Robinson, Hanna Weg, Vince Jolivette and Miles Levy are producing "The Garden of Last Days" which is adapted from the 2008 novel by Andre Dubus III exploring family and sexual values over the course of a night set in a Florida strip club.

Clarke, the up-and-coming British actress, will play a stripper who brings her 3-year-old daughter to work. Clarke plays the dragon-commanding princess Daenerys Targaryen trying to reclaim her family's throne, in HBO's hit fantasy "Game of Thrones". She also stars in the Broadway adaptation of "Breakfast at Tiffany's".
