Two TGV cinemas opens today


TGV Cinemas set to open two new outlets today.

17 Dec – TGV Cinemas, one of Malaysia's leading exhibitors and multiplex cinema operator, is set to open two new cinemas today, 17 December 2014.

The two new cinema locations are AEON Bukit Mertajam in Penang and Permaisuri Imperial City Mall (PICM) Miri in Sarawak, which will mark TGV's first foray into East Malaysia.

TGV Cinemas Bukit Mertajam has seven halls with a seating capacity of 840, while TGV PICM has eight halls with 1,191 seating capacity, which include 72 of TGV's Beanie seats.

Both the cinemas' halls also have two wheel-chair allocations. All halls are equipped with Dolby Digital sound system and Christie® CP2220 digital cinema projector system.

To celebrate the opening of the new cinemas, TGV Cinemas will be organising an Open House at TGV Cinemas Bukit Mertajam as well as TGV PICM today, 17 December 2014, which includes free screenings of blockbuster movies and 1,000 free popcorn sets given out at each cinema.

The screening, scheduled at 2pm and 5pm today, will include the following movies: "Maleficent", "Transformers: Age of Extinction", "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Interstellar".

Additionally, TGV Cinemas will also be organising 30 Days of Goodies at their new locations. Each day, moviegoers will be entitled to claim a free goodie from TGV Cinemas, which include movie passes, popcorn and drink vouchers, and movie premiums.

TGV Cinemas is set to open three more cinemas located at AEON Kulaijaya, Johor, AEON Seri Manjung, Perak and Jaya Shopping Centre, Selangor. However, there are currently no opening dates set for these new locations but they are expected to open by the end of this month.
