14 Apr - Syafiq Yusof continues to break records, as his latest film "Blood Brothers: Bara Naga" has now made RM14.9 million at the box office. The film, which is also co-directed by Abhilash Chandra, achieved the feat in just three days of screening including previews.
Said producer Datuk Yusof Haslam, "I'm thankful that despite many challenges, including the economic situation, the film has achieved extraordinary box office numbers. This is unexpected." "Hopefully, this sets a new benchmark for our film industry that local films can dominate the market," he added.
Meanwhile, lead actor Sharnaaz Ahmad expressed on Instagram, "Blood Brothers! Thank you. Thankful. Praise be to God." In "Blood Brothers: Bara Naga", Shafiq Kyle plays the role of Ariff, a loyal bodyguard who is framed for betraying his Mafia family, and is forced to flee and prove his innocence. The film co-stars Shukri Yahaya, Wan Hanafi Su, Andy Teh, Syazwan Zulkifli and Amelia Henderson, among others.
