"The Fatal Encounter"

What is it about: Based on the real-life assassination attempt on King Jeong-jo, this movie follows the King's struggle as he carefully places his trust on his subordinates and evades those who are after his throne.

Why you should watch it: This marks Hyun Bin's first role in a period drama and his first acting gig after being discharged from the mandatory military service.


"My Love, My Bride"

What is it about: Following their marriage right after graduating college, young couple Young-min and Mi-young learn the hard way about maintaining a marriage and understanding what love really is.

Why you should watch it: This film is the remake of the hit 1990 same-titled movie starring Park Joong-hoon and Choi Jin-sil.
