First 3D hall in Sabah


GSC opening soon at Suria Sabah KK

7 May – Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) will be extending the first digital 3D hall to Sabah when the latest 8-screen multiplex in Suria Sabah Kota Kinabalu Mall opens this 20 May 2010, in time for "Shrek Forever After" in 3D. GSC Sunway Carnival, Penang and GSC IOI Puchong will also be equipped with digital halls by the end of May 2010.

Located on the 8th floor, GSC Suria Sabah will have a total of 1,465 seats and 16 wheelchair space to cater the ever-growing cinema needs in the East Malaysia. Prior to the opening, Sabahans can look forward to free movie screenings from 15 to 19 May 2010. The free movies available are "Little Big Soldier", "The Storm Warriors", "Adnan Sempit", "Sherlock Holmes", "Around The World In 80 Days", "The Golden Compass", "Tooth Fairy", "A Christmas Carol" and "2012".

GSC Suria Sabah targets to open 20 May 2010.

In order to redeem, moviegoers would need to cut out any original GSC cinema listings or free screening coupons via local newspapers and present it at the cinema's box office counter. Each person is entitled to a maximum of four tickets per day at the box office counter from 11am onwards. Ticket redemption is limited to movies scheduled on the same day of redemption itself and tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.
