5 Mar – Metrowealth producer David Teo simplified "V3: Samseng Jalanan" as 'action-packed, fierce, and sexy' during the press preview held at Cathay Cineplex, e@Curve recently. The movie directed by actor-turned-filmmaker Farid Kamil is set to release nationwide on 11 March 2010. Originally titled "Remp-It V3", it was luck that this movie was made before the Malaysian censorship board ruled out elements of street racers, transsexuality or homosexuality. However, they inevitably had to change the movie title and also edit 20% of the original film to suit a general audience. David Teo was very acceptable of the name change as he believed it was more attractive and fierce with the word 'samseng'.
Meanwhile, when asked regarding the re-editing of the movie, Farid Kamil said, "Looking back at it, there were a few action scenes that were over the top. But I'm glad that the edits did not disrupt the flow of the story. I'm completely satisfied with the end result and it has always been my dream since my studying days in Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) to release my first movie in cinemas." "V3: Samseng Jalanan" tells the tale of two buddies, Rudy (Farid Kamil) and Brett (Bront Palarae) who are forced to run away to the city in order to change their lives. However, things take a turn when Rudy loses a bet in a race against Garing "Aqasha". This film also stars Lisa Surihani, Intan Ladyana, Radhi OAG and Adam Corrie. Stay tuned for the full interview with Farid Kamil. "V3: Samseng Jalanan" will race into cinemas on 11 March 2010!
