7 Oct – The Latin American Embassies in Malaysia along with GSC cinemas are bringing the 10th Latin American Film Festival that will take place at selected GSC Cinemas for 4 days (20 - 23 October 2011), where moviegoers will get the chance to win complimentary passes!
A total of 12 movies encompassing different genres showcasing the Latin American culture and arts will be shown at GSC International Screens in GSC Mid Valley, GSC 1 Utama as well as GSC Pavillion, KL. The movies range from different Latin American countries such as Argentina ("Moon Of Avellaneda"), Brazil ("Oscar Niemeyer: Life Is But A Breath" and "The Mystery Of Samba"), Chile ("Dawson, Island 10"), Colombia ("A Paper Tiger"), Cuba ("Casa Vieja"), Ecuador ("Welcome To Your Family"), Mexico ("The Student"), Peru ("Dog In The Manger"), Uruguay ("Whisky" and "Giant") and Venezuela ("Open Air"). 80 complimentary passes to the movies are available for free (while stocks last) as all moviegoers would have to do in order to redeem them is to print out the coupon on GSC's website, and from 17 October onwards, head on over to GSC 1Utama's Gold Class Counter to collect the passes. One print out coupon is exchangeable for two passes. Each person is limited to a maximum of four passes.
The standard price for each movie is set at RM5 per ticket, however the Brazillian movies shown ("Oscar Niemeyer: Life Is But A Breath" and "The Mystery Of Samba") will be shown for free, with complimentary passes while stocks last.
