2 June – "Star Trek" fans or 'Trekkies', as they're more popularly known and also movie buffs, are in for a treat with the 24-hour Movie Marathon that will be held on 11 June at the Movie Carnival 2011, which is currently taking place at the IPC Shopping Centre. The marathon is set to screen some of the popular "Star Trek" movies as well as a blockbuster line-up of "Transformers", "Fast and the Furious" and more, which will enable those who can endure the whole of 24-hours to win a 32-inch LCD TV, exclusive movie merchandise, movie tickets and more. Commencing at 12 in the afternoon of 11 June, and ending the next day on 12 June, also at 12 noon, all participants have to do to in order to take part is to register themselves at the Cinema Online Booth to enjoy the once in a lifetime event. The affair that will take place at the second floor of IPC Shopping Centre (opposite Toys 'R' Us), is expected to garner a huge turnout as it will also feature movie character appearances comprising of the Vulcans, Romulans and members of the Starfleet from the "Star Trek" series itself.
