Tracy Morgan released from hospital

Tracy Morgan had to undergo rehab after his surgery

14 Jul – Comedian Tracy Morgan suffered broken legs, nose and ribs in the accident on 7 June 2014, while fellow comedian James 'Jimmy Mack' McNair lost his life.

Morgan will continue his recovery at home with an "aggressive outpatient program", as said by spokesman Lewis Kay, "He asked me to pass along his sincerest gratitude to everyone who has helped him get to this point."

Comedian Ardie Fuqua Jr and Jeffrey Millea, Morgan's assistant, were also injured when a Walmart truck ploughed into Morgan's limo bus.

Morgan is now suing Walmart for negligence.

Morgan and his lawyers have filed a lawsuit against Walmart last Thursday.

Court papers stated that, "As a result of Wal-Mart's gross, reckless, wilful, wanton, and intentional conduct, it should be appropriately punished with the imposition of punitive damages."

The suit claims that the retailer should have known that its driver had been awake for more than 24 hours, and that a 700-mile commute from his home in Georgia to work in Delaware was "unreasonable".

"We know it will take some time to resolve all of the remaining issues as a result of the accident, but we're committed to doing the right thing for all involved," Walmart said in a statement issued last Saturday.

Walmart also said that they were "cooperating fully" with the investigation.
