22 Aug – Warner Bros has finally found their 'bare necessities' which is the voice cast for the animal characters in Andy Serkis adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book", now titled as "Jungle Book: Origins". The animation and live-action mix of film will have Cate Blanchett who previously voiced Hiccup's mother, Valka in "How To Train Your Dragon 2" as the python, Kaa, award-winning actor and Benedict Cumberbatch as the evil Bengal tiger, Shere Khan.
The list of cast will also include "The Dark Knight Rises" actor, Christian Bale as Bagheera the panther, Tom Hollander as Tabaqui, the underling jackal of Shere Khan, Naomie Harris, Eddie Marsan and Peter Mullan as the members of the wolf pack and also Serkis himself as everyone's favourite care-free bear, Baloo. Additionally, "Jack and Jill" child actor, Rohan Chand who also acted in the upcoming film, "The Hundred Foot Journey" will play the human boy, Mowgli in "Jungle Book: Origins".
Currently, Disney is also developing a reboot of "Jungle Book" film helmed by Jon Favreau, starring Bill Murray as Baloo, Christopher Walken as King Louie, Giancarlo Esposito as Akela, Ben Kingsley as Bagheera, Lupita Nyong'o as Raksha, Scarlet Johansson as Kaa, Idris Elba as Shere Khan and newcomer Neel Sethi as Mowgli. Warner Bros' 'Jungle Book: Origins' is set to release in US cinema on 21 October 2016 while Disney's version of "Jungle Book" will be released on 8 October 2015.
