13 Apr – Local actor Bront Palarae received the Best Actor Award at the ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA) 2015 ceremony which was held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCKK) in Kuching, Sarawak on 11 April 2015. In addition to Bront's success for his role in "Terbaik Dari Langit", the film itself which was directed by Nik Amir Nik Mustapha, also won the Best Movie Award at the ceremony. In the meantime, international action star Datuk Jackie Chan who was visiting Sarawak for the very first time was awarded the special Asean Inspiration Award. "All those years, I only knew how to keep on making movies. I tried to do my best. I 'promised' to keep hurting myself if I must (in order) to make better movies," said Jackie as quoted by The Star.
