30 Nov – Cinemas in Kedah will be closed in respect to the passing of Kedah's Raja Muda Tunku Haji Abdul Malik Ibni Almarhum Sultan Balishah, aged 86. The Raja Muda of Kedah had passed away on Sunday morning at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital's royal ward due to natural causes. Cinemas in Kedah that confirm their temporary closure are GSC Amanjaya, GSC Aman Central, MBO Alor Setar, MBO Kulim, MBO Sungai Petani and LFS City Plaza Alor Setar. The mentioned cinemas were closed from yesterday onwards, 29 November and will remain closed up to Saturday, 5 December 2015. Operations will resume on Sunday, 6 December 2015. GSC Cinemas will conduct a seven-day refund exercise for the affected screenings. Other cinemas in Kedah are assumed to be close as well, as the state government had issued an instruction to mourn for seven days with all form of entertainment and celebrations to be cancelled.
