23 Jul – When Warner Bros. (WB) announced recently that it has made a formal agreement with professional basketball player LeBron James' company, Springhill Entertainment, rumours started spreading that the latter is set to star in a new WB movie, namely "Space Jam 2".

"Connecting with my fans and telling meaningful stories have always been my passion. In everything I've done, from Nike commercials to 'Uninterrupted' and 'Survivor's Remorse,' it's always about connecting with people of all ages and providing unique content they can all enjoy," said LeBron in a press statement.

"And I've always loved movies, which makes Warner Bros. the ultimate partner to help us continue to push the envelope. I can't wait to see what we come up with."

Since the agreement includes plans for projects in television, film and original digital content, it is rumoured that the NBA star would be starring in the sequel to one of WB's most successful movies, "Space Jam".

If LeBron really were to star in "Space Jam 2", fans can expect to see several familiar NBA faces also gracing the big screen alongside him.

The original "Space Jam" was a 1996 movie starring NBA superstar Michael Jordan and the cartoon characters of Looney Tunes. It is the highest-grossing basketball movie of all time with a lifetime gross of USD90.4 million, based on Box Office Mojo stats.

LeBron most recently appeared in Amy Schumer and Judd Apatows' comedy movie, "Trainwreck", and has been garnering rave reviews for his portrayal of an altered version of himself.
