15 Sep – This week, fulfil all your movie-going needs by visiting not one, but two new cinemas that are opening this week! Just today, TGV Cinemas' have opened their new six-screen cinema at Sunway Putra Mall, along Jalan Putra at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The cinema has a total seating capacity of 1,057 and also houses a Beanieplex hall. If the area seems familiar to you, that's because the place used to be called The Mall, before the establishment underwent renovations to give it a more contemporary look. Come this Thursday, 17 September 2015, residents of Taiping, Perak will have another new cinema as well, which is located at Aeon Taiping. With a total seating capacity of 1,370, the cinema has seven-screens including one Beanieplex hall. This will now bring the total number of cinemas in Taiping to two, with the existing MBO Taiping Sentral. The last TGV Cinema location that opened recently was the eight screen, TGV D'Pulze Cyberjaya on 23 July, 2015. Other TGV Cinemas that opened this year are; the six-screen TGV Cinemas AEON AU2, the eight-screen TGV Cinemas Jaya Shopping Mall and the five-screen TGV Cinemas Perda City Mall. With the addition of the two new cinemas, TGV Cinemas now has 32 cinemas strewn across the nation, the same number of locations as another cinema exhibitor in the country, Golden Screen Cinemas.
