James Wan announces official title for "Aquaman 2"

New underwater adventures await Arthur Curry aka Aquaman

16 Jun – James Wan has recently unveiled the official title of "Aquaman 2".

The filmmaker shared the news recently on Instagram with a photo of him at the production meeting of the said DC movie - a screen in front of him showing the words "Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom".

"The tide is rising," he captioned it.

"Aquaman" actor Patrick Wilson, who plays Orm in the movie, also took to the comments, writing, "Let me out. I'll find it."

There is still no news as to what the sequel to the 2018 superhero movie will be about, though original scriptwriter David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick will return to pen the second instalment.

The upcoming project stars Jason Momoa as Aquaman, with Amber Heard and Patrick Wilson to return as well.

The movie, which is now entering pre-production, is scheduled for release on 16 December 2022.
