21 Jul – Jason Momoa recently announced that "Aquaman 2" is now in production. On 19 July, the actor posted a video of him in the UK, "I am finally in England. It is sunny and amazing, and we're starting "Aquaman 2" tomorrow." He also revealed that he will begin dyeing his hair blond again for the role, adding, "Supposedly they [blonds] have more fun. I don't know about that. We'll test it out." "London calling!" he posted in the caption. "So excited to start Aqua-man 2, we are here! Goodbye brown hello blondie!" The sequel, titled, "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom", will take the superhero to the titular kingdom, which many fans speculated to be the Black City of Necrus, an Atlantean Kingdom that despises surface-dwellers. Aside from Momoa, other original cast members who will be returning include Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Temuera Morrison. Game of Thrones' Pilou Asbaek has also been cast in the sequel, though his role in the movie has yet to be announced. The upcoming movie will be helmed by James Wan again and is scheduled for release in December 2022.
