23 Nov – After "Laal Singh Chaddha" postponing its February release to April 2022, it looks like another highly-anticipated Bollywood movie will be delaying its release as well. Alia Bhatt, the star of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film, "Gangubai Kathiawadi" recently announced that the film has found a new release date, and will be seeing audiences on 18 February 2022. > This means, the film will be released a month's later than its original release date, as it was supposed to come out on 6 January.
The new movie stars Alia as the titular Gagubai, one of the most powerful and respected madams from Kamathipura in the 1960s. The film is loosely based on a true story adapted from S. Hussain Zaidi's "Mafia Queens of Mumbai". It also co-stars Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari, with guest appearance by Ajay Devgn as Karim Lala.
