Netflix reveals First Look of Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman"

28 Sep – Netflix has finally unveiled the first clip from its highly-anticipated adaptation, "The Sandman".

The series, which comes from Neil Gaiman's DC magnum opus of the same name, begins with the character Dream being imprisoned on earth, and needing to reclaim artefacts to regain his power following his freedom.


In the special first look, which was revealed at Netflix's TUDUM event, fans are treated to a clip featuring Charles Dance ("Game of Thrones") as warlock Roderick Burgess, as he and his followers conduct a ritual to capture Death, only to capture Dream (Tom Sturridge) instead.

Aside from the interesting clip, Netflix also unveiled the first three character posters, showing off the trio of siblings: Dream (Tom Sturridge), Death (Kirby Howell-Baptiste), and Desire (Mason Alexander Park).

 

 

Other cast members include Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, Boyd Holbrook as The Corinthian, Asim Chauhry as Abel, Sanjeev Bhaskar as Cain, Donna Preston as Despair, Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine, Niamh Walsh as Ethel Cripps, David Thewlis as John Dee, Kyo Ra as Rose Walker, Razane Jamma as Lyta Hall, Sandra James Young as Unity Kinkaid, Stephen Fry as Gilbert, and Patton Oswalt as Matthew the Raven.
