21 Sep – Netflix is proving itself yet again THE streaming giant, after becoming a big winner at the 73rd Emmy Awards.

The victory came via "The Crown", which won seven awards at the said event held on 19 September, including Best Drama Series, Best Drama Actress for Olivia Colman, Best Drama Actor for Josh O'Connor, Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for Gillian Anderson and Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for Tobias Menzies.

It it noted that it was also a bittersweet win for Colman, who lost her father during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Two of Netflix's other shows, "The Queen's Gambit" and "Halston" also brought home accolades - with the former winning Best Limited Series and the latter Best Actor for Limited Series or Movie for Ewan McGregor.

On the other hand, another big winner was the Jason Sudeikis- starrer, "Ted Lasso", which won Best Comedy Series, Best Comedy Actor for the said actor, Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy for Brett Goldstein, and Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy for Hannah Waddingham.
