17 May – Now that he has said goodbye to Drax the Destroyer, Dave Bautista is moving on to his next project, the upcoming action-comedy, "The Killer's Game". The upcoming project is revealed to have been in development for a long time, and had since been taken over by Lionsgate, who hired "Day Shift" director JJ Perry to helm the movie. Adapted from a novel by Jay Bonansinga, "The Killer's Game" follows a veteran assassin, Joe Flood, who authorises a kill on himself in order to help his family financially following a diagnosis of a life-threatening illness. However, he later has to defend himself against his would-be killers after finding out that he was misdiagnosed. Sharing the good news on social media, Bautista wrote, "Game on." The actor, whose new movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3" is currently in theatres, will be seen next in the second part of Denis Villenueve's "Dune".
