5 Oct – Not only Swifties in Malaysia did not get the chance to watch their favourite singer in concert in the country, it looks like they will not be able to watch it on the big screen as well. Sources from TGV and GSC cinemas recently stated that local distributors have chosen not to pick up the concert movie of Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" for screening, which means that fans will have to resort to watching it in Brunei, Singapore or Indonesia.
Or if they want to venture further, they could also go to Hong Kong, South Korea, or Japan.
Taylor 's fans here are surely disappointed that they won't get to watch her as she performs her hit songs in a once-in-a-lifetime concert movie experience - that has been promised to be a theatrical extravaganza. Meanwhile, in Southeast Asia, the movie will be screened in Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam on 3 November, while Philippines will be screening it earlier on 13 October. It is noted that the film will be screened worldwide in more than 100 countries. Except Malaysia, that is.
