Sam Worthington to resume filming "Avatar 3" next month

11 Jan - Sam Worthington recently revealed that he will resume filming the third "Avatar" film next month.

Speaking to People recently, the actor, who reprises his role as Jake Sulley in the 2022 "Avatar: The Way of Water", said, "We go back to work on it in a month and it's big. It's bigger than you can imagine."

In a previous interview, director James Cameron revealed that he has shot a portion of movie number three and movie number four while he was filming the second movie.

However, the third film, which was originally scheduled for Christmas 2024, was later delayed to Christmas 2025.

"Avatar 3" was also reported to revolve around the element of fire, as Cameron said he wanted it to be used as a symbolic purpose in the film.

The second movie is currently the third highest grossing movie of all time, earning USD 2.3 billion at the box office, while the original film remained undefeated at the top with USD 2.9 billion.
