Yogi Babu confirms Rajinikanth's "Jailer 2"

1 Aug - Yogi Babu recently revealed that there will be a sequel to Rajinikanth's hit 2023 movie, "Jailer" and he will be back in it too.

The comedian, who sat down with Cineulagam recently, shared that he has worked with director Nelson Dilipkumar in various movies from "Kolamaavu Kokila", "Beast", "Doctor", to "Jailer", and that now they will be working together yet again.

"In Jailer 2 as well, Nelson is writing something special for my character which is quite an interesting take on comedy," he said.

Nonetheless, Yogi declined to elaborate more on the project, saying that everything is "being written for the movie" at this time and that he would rather not spill any more details.

It is noted that Rajinikanth is currently working on the movie, "Coolie" by Lokesh Kanagaraj. His new film, "Vettaiyan" will be releasing on Diwali 2024.

In "Jailer", the actor plays retired police officer Muthuvel Pandian seeking to apprehend an eccentric idol smuggler.
