9 Apr - Kiara Advani is following the footsteps of Alia Bhatt it seems, as it was reported that the "Kabir Singh" actress is set to walk the red carpet at the Met Gala.

The mother-to-be reportedly will be joining stars from across the globe at the fashion event, which will be held on 5 May at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

The opportunity came two months after she announced that she is pregnant with her first child with husband and actor Sidharth Malhotra, whom she married in 2023.

It is noted that Alia walked the Met Gala red carpet last year in a custom-designed saree by Indian couturier Sabyasachi Mukherjee, which was inspired by that year's theme, "The Garden of Time".

Other Indian actresses who have attended the event include Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.
