27 Feb - Hollywood star Michelle Trachtenberg has recently passed away.

The news was first reported by the New York Post, which stated that Trachtenberg was discovered by her mother on 26 February around 8am at Manhattan's luxury apartment complex on Central Park South.

The NYPD stated that the "Gossip Girl" actress was found "unconscious and unresponsive", and pronounced dead at the scene following a report that a woman has experienced cardiac arrest.

Sources revealed that Trachtenberg recently underwent a liver transplant and possibly experienced complications.

Making her debut at 10 years old by playing the titular character in "Harriet the Spy", Trachtenberg went on to star in many movies and TV series including "Inspector Gadget", "Ice Princess", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", and "Weeds".


In 2022, she reprised her role as Georgina Sparks in the new "Gossip Girl" series, ten years after the original series concluded.

She was 39.
