Watch this if you liked: “Date Night”, “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”

Ashton Kutcher ("What Happens In Vegas") in the buff. Not that easy to summarise the story when you have someone that hot, baring his chest in the initial 15 minutes of the movie. "Killers", also produced by Ashton Kutcher, is a cross between "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" and "Date Night", where CIA hitman Spencer Aimes (Ashton Kutcher) meets a recently dumped girl Jen Kornfeldt (Katherine Heigl) in Nice, France. Sparks fly between them, Spencer abruptly quits his CIA job, and you get the perfect couple!

But wait, the story doesn't end with Spencer and Jen happily making babies and living in the quiet suburbs. Fast forward to three years after their wedding, Spencer's past catches up with him, causing him to spill the beans to Jen about what he does for a living three years before they hooked up. It's pretty awesome to see the usual neighbours, colleagues and even the delivery guy showing up with knives, guns and Uzi's, just to eliminate Spencer for the USD$20 million bounty!

In "Killers", Ashton Kutcher shrugs off his usual goofy, nerdy character for the suave yet loving husband, as opposed to the all the other movies like "Dude, Where's My Car?". Katherine Heigl's character could well be the opposite of Ashton Kutcher, almost playing the same neurotic, clumsy woman in "Knocked Up" and "The Ugly Truth". When can she play someone else other than Izzie Stevens? Besides that, Tom Selleck ("Three Men And A Baby") who plays Jen's father, is every little girl's dream. He protects Jen from everything, down to the part where every time they get into deep trouble, Jen would contemplate going to her parents' house! Expect a special cameo appearance by Usher as well!

Half an hour into the movie, you'll get the typical action movie stunts: car chase, explosives, guns, and duels. But what the reviewer likes is it doesn't make you realise that they're really cliche to the fact it incorporates the Kutcher-Heigl comedy in each scene. Lucky for the smart, witty dialogues, the movie could be a real contender for "Date Night"!

Overall the movie fared quite well, not withstanding the lack of extraordinary acting chops by Katherine Heigl. Good dialogues, no choppy editing (complete with a swear word at the end, courtesy of Katherine Heigl), and eye candy! What more can you ask for in an action rom-com? For those who prefer staying home reliving "That '70s Show" or "Grey's Anatomy", skip this if you will.
