A group of kids receive an encrypted message sent from unknown source and decide to go on a journey to find the source of the message to learn the purpose behind it. After arriving at the source of the message, they discover an unknown being from another world. Things go wrong when the police discovers the existence of the being.

Watch this if you liked: “Super 8” & “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial”

The Good, the Bad and the Alien

• Think "E.T." plus "Super 8" presented in found footage form and you get the picture.

• It's interesting to watch the movie develop as the group of kids piece together the story themselves using their own cameras and editing.

• The group of kids however didn't have much development in terms of character or friendship. Emma only joined in later to balance out the lack of smarts and courage among the three boys (Alex, Tuck and Munch).

• The adorable "Echo" gets very little screentime despite being the titular alien in the film.

• It's a good movie only for those who have never watched "E.T" and the likes (kids especially).

Trivia

• 19-year-old designer Ross Tran did not believe Dave Green at first when the director called him up to design Echo. He eventually did and Green liked Echo from Tran's very first sketch.
