Set in the present day against the backdrop of fear and distrusts, four waves of deadly attacks by alien invasion have destroyed most of human population, pushing them back to Stone Age. As one of the last survivors on Earth, 16-year-old Cassie Sullivan is on the run, going through multiple obstacles as she desperately tries to save her younger brother Sammy. As she prepares for the inevitable and lethal fifth wave, Cassie meets a young man who may become her final hope.

The Good, the Bad and the Fifth Wave:

• Like every other apocalypse-survival movie, the storyline is generic, predictable and overly done.

• The only thing that makes this film worth watching is Chloë Moretz performance, who gives her best in everything that she did.

• If you are a fan of a typical survival plot or Chloë Moretz, then this film is your cup of tea.

• It is not that the film is horrible, it just that it has already been seen multiple times in other similar genre films.

Trivia:

• Chloë Grace Moretz was the only actress who auditioned for the part of Cassie.
