Lulu is a popular character from Michelle Chong`s comedy sketch show "The Noose". Coming from mainland China, Lulu who used to be a KTV hostess now works in Singapore as a weather girl. The movie follows the adventure of Lulu who has a distinct Chinese accent trying to converse in English in Singapore.

The Good, the Bad and the China Lady:

• Having a movie focusing on the lovable Lulu character from the Emmy-nominated Singapore comedy series "The Noose" seems like a great idea, but the results apparently doesn't turn out to be as positive as expected.

• While Lulu is adorable and well-liked in "The Noose", her standalone story doesn't seem to translate very well on the big screen.

• However, it is good to know that there are more sides to Lulu other than being cheerful and lively such as she can also be angry and sad.

Trivia:

• The movie is the third feature film from Michelle Chong.
