Pad Man

Based on the book "The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad" by Twinkle Khanna, the movie follows a newly-wed man named Lakshmi who, shocked by his wife`s lack of concern with personal hygiene during her menstruation cycle, decides to create sanitary napkins that women in rural India can easily afford. Unfortunately, his wife doesn`t want to be a part of his experiment and leaves him. Undeterred, he continues his effort, resulting in his creation of a machine that produces sanitary napkins, revolutionising the concept of menstrual hygiene in the country.
Berdasarkan buku "The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad" oleh Twinkle Khanna, ia berkisarkan tentang seorang lelaki yang baru berkahwin bernama Lakshmi, yang terkejut dengan sikap isterinya yang mengabaikan kebersihan ketika datang haid. Dia kemudian ambil keputusan untuk mencipta tuala wanita dengan harga berpatutan supaya wanita di pedalaman India mampu membelinya. Malangnya, isterinya tidak mahu terlibat dalam eksperimen itu dan meninggalkannya. Dia tetap meneruskan usaha dan berjaya mencipta mesin yang menghasilkan tuala wanita sekaligus merevolusikan kebersihan haid dalam negara itu.
