The Climbers

Inspired by the real-life expedition of Chinese climbers Wang Fuzhou, Gonpo and Qu Yinhua. In 1960, they made history when they became the first Chinese team to successfully climb Mount Everest`s perilous North Ridge. On their way down from the mountain, which they only did after placing a small statue of Chairman Mao atop the summit, they stopped midway to rescue a fourth member of their team, who was unable to finish the climb.
Diinspirasikan dari kisah benar ekspidisi para pendaki Cina Wang Fuzhou, Gonpo dan Qu Yinhhua. Pada tahun 1960, mereka telah mencipta sejarah apabila menjadi kumpulan Cina pertama yang berjaya mendaki laluan Rabung Utara Gunung Everest yang berbahaya. Dalam perjalanan turun dari gunung itu, yang mana hanya mereka hanya lakukan selepas mereka meletakkan sebuah patung kecil Pengerusi Mao di puncaknya, mereka berhenti di tengah perjalanan untuk menyelamatkan ahli keempat kumpulan mereka yang tidak mampu meneruskan pendakian tersebut.
